KEY OF VALOR
Nora Roberts
Jove, Jan 2004, $7.99, 352 pp.
ISBN: 0515136530
Zoe McCourt escaped a nowhere life in West Virginia after becoming pregnant and rejected by her lover and her family. She has made a go of it by and for herself and her now ten year old son Simon in Pleasant Valley, Pennsylvania.

Now Zoe is part of three women with male assistance battling to free the three princesses, whose souls are trapped inside the glass prison. Malory Price led off followed by Dana Steele with both successful and ready to share their lives with their loved ones. The final player Zoe will face Kane the Sorcerer knowing that her adversary will break all the rules. Wealthy Bradley Vane III will risk his life to keep his beloved and her son, who he cherishes as his own, safe even if Zoe rejects him as her forever lover, her son's wannabe adopted father, and her ally against Kane. Zoe refuses to heed her heart because she knows he is above her station just like Simon's biological father once reminded her one decade ago.

The final tale in Nora Roberts' "Keys" romantic fantasy trilogy is an exhilarating conclusion to a strong mini-series. As with the first two tales, the key to this novel is the recurring characters remain true to their persona whether they are the heroine of the moment, her beloved, the other couples, and even the evil Kane. KEY OF VALOR ties together the loose ends of the previous two novels, but also contains a powerful story starring a delightful Zoe and a loyal Bradley, both risking their lives like the previous couples, to free the Glass Princesses.
